We use OEM parts for repairs
Drives
ABB Drives along with many other types of drives can be damaged by power surges from lightning strikes. Sometimes, a simple reboot may solve the problem, but often there are other issues behind a drive failure.
According to the manufacturer the ABB Drive has an average life span of 10 years. When the drive is around 10 years old, the capacitor can fail without notice. For example, When the system is shut down and then rebooted there is a risk that the capacitor due to age cannot handle the voltage surge and will blow causing the drive to not function. |
Flex Connects
The Flex Connects will begin to crack and break over time. A leak at the discharge flex connect can easily cause a significant amount of damage to the control panel and drives in addition to other equipment that may be in the Pump Room.
There will typically be a brief water shut down when replacing the flex connects unless there is a water by-pass. If your Flex Connects have signs of cracking then it is time to replace the Flex Connects. |

PRVs and Check Valves
PRVs and Check Valves need to be replaced periodically in order for them to perform correctly. Check Valves are usually used when the Pump has a variable drive. Check Valves tend to be significantly less expensive to replace.
Eventually, the Check Valves will leak back causing the motor to work harder. You will often see a spike in the Amperage. |
