Recommended DWBP Hurricane Procedures

5/15/2018

Under Evacuation Orders (Voluntary or Mandatory) or Power Loss Conditions:

Always check with your DWBP specialist first.

Step 1: Turn off the power to the panel (disconnect knob on front of panel).

Step 2: Close all the valves on the system to isolate the building from the city water supply in order to protect from potential contamination from the city/county.

After the storm has passed and power has been restored (generator or electric company):

Step 3: Test water purity or check with city/county water supply for verification of water safety. Once water has been cleared safe, SLOWLY open all valves on the system that were previously closed.

Step 4: Turn on power to the panel (disconnect knob on front of panel). Once panel is powered up the system will start a "Pressure Recovery Mode" and the building should be pressurized within minutes.
